Freakout adverted. Meeting people in my own demo really helps. I don't feel nearly as cut off as I did last week. Might also be that I took care of a cat this weekend, something familiar. Taking comfort in the familiar. Walking into a McDonalds, or eating naan. The smell of dry cat food, or the rush of a cold wind off the ocean. A lot of my happy times here are appreciating the unfamiliar, but the things that make it feel like home are the familiar experiences. Even getting my blood drawn felt like my world was aligning more with this one.
I hope the new things will be familiar soon.
