My cat hugs me
Recently, my cat has taken to sleeping on me when I'm sitting on the couch with my feet up. In itself, this isn't so odd. However, she no longer curls up in a ball in my lap, in the traditional cat manner. Now she half climbs up my chest with her paws on my shoulders, like she is hugging me. This is starting to scare me. Maybe she is trying to strangle me?

Is this one of those "Abyss stare back" type of things" Do you hug your cat back?
or maybe it's thinking you are lonely!
I wouldn’t over think it though… you looked like you could use a hug the other day and the cat is just being nice… um and oh yeah you are not used to nice so there.
